Will I get a Christmas break for 42A AIT?

I leave for basic August 13th at fort l-wood than fort Jackson for My ait. Will they give us a Christmas break or try to push for early graduation. I did the calculation and we would only need to come back for a week to finish up if they let us break for Christmas.

When I went to basic training, graduation was in December of 1999. The only reason you might NOT get a pass to go home, is if the drill instructors ( or command) feel you are at risk somehow.

For me, they flagged me as a flight risk for reasons I do not understand even all these years later.
You should be fine.

I think they will accelerate the course so you do not have to come back

You won’t find that out until you get to Fort Jackson. Every AIT location have there own way of reviewing their schedule to see if training can be completed prior to the Christmas holidays if there is an adequate training plan in place to ensure you’re trained on all modules. So unfortunately you probably have to wait until you get there to get the exact answer to your question.
