Will I be able to rejoin the military after having taken anti-depressants if I can get a waiver from my doctor stating I am mentally fit? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/will-i-be-able-to-rejoin-the-military-after-having-taken-anti-depressants-if-i-can-get-a-waiver-from-my-doctor-stating-i-am-mentally-fit <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I am prior service. Serve 7 years in active duty and was honorably discharged June 2019 and I have thought joiningthe National guard. I enroll with the Va and went to my initial appointment and was prescribe anti-depressants for possible PTSD. I don’t think I need them but I have been taking them. Now I have a possibly position on USA jobs as a title 32 position. My concern is I have done some research and have read that antidepressants disqualify you for 12 months and you have to be off them safely. My question is will I still be able to join if I could get a waiver from my doctor stating I am mentally fit to return to service? Please let me know thank you! Your DR can submit statements but that&#39;s all. MEPS and higher hold the cards. SGM Bill Frazer Tue, 29 Sep 2020 17:11:05 -0400 2020-09-29T17:11:05-04:00 2020-09-29T13:01:18-04:00
