Political parties use race as a tool to divide the people. Is affirmative action a racist policy? Are hate crime laws racist? As long as politicians continue to use race as a weapon, we will not see a change. The People are either all equal under the law or as we saw this week with Dr. Ford some have special privileges due to a demographic factor that politicians use to gain an advantage. There always has been and sadly always be racism. This hasn’t changed since the beginning of society. Can it be minimized in comparison to times past?
