Why would a recruiter terminate a waiver packet out of their system with no explanation?

About 2 months ago my "recruiter" went to the station commander course. He never told me he was leaving never briefed anyone on my packet and where it stood. He never told me when he came back and when I had a friend look in the system to see what was going on he had told me that my packet was terminated from their system and couldn't see why. So now my friend has my packet and is trying to clean up the mess that was made. Can anyone tell me why this would have happened? Also, I am going on my 2 year mark from starting this process. Why is it taking this long for a waiver packet it to be completed when every other person I have talked to took 6 months at most.

9 months ago you posted on here that this same waiver you need also requires a minimum AFQT of 50 and that you did not meet that requirement.
Unless this requirement has changed, or you tested again and scored over 50, then that is why your recruiter would have terminated it.

So now that the army just dropped this new ops flash... looking at other branches. Can anyone tell me what the waiver process is for prior service regarding waivers coming from the army?

Since this was posted the memo has been changed and terminated. The recruiter was supposed to resubmit everything after being restarted but then he just fell off and never returned my phone calls

Your recruiter might have just decided to move on because RE 3 waivers are a low success rate. You could have another recruiter submit.
Meanwhile you have had almost 5 years to request a change to your RE code to make this easier. Have you started that yet?
According to Army Regulation 601-210 (Regular Army and Army Reserve Enlistment Program), the Reentry Eligibility (RE) code can only be changed if an incorrect code was entered for the reason of separation. For this type of correction, please send a letter and a copy of your DD Form 214 to the following address requesting the correction:
Commander US Army Human Resources Command
Attention: Retention Branch (AHRC-EPF)
1600 Spearhead Division Drive, Dept 365
Fort Knox, KY 40121
If the Human Resources Command denies your request and you can provide evidence that the RE code is erroneous or unjust, you may apply to the Army Board for Correction of Military Records for a correction of the RE code.
If you were discharged within the last 15 years and can provide evidence that your reason for discharge is erroneous or unjust, you can apply to the Army Discharge Review Board requesting that your reason for separation be changed to the correct reason with corresponding RE code.
To apply to the Army Board for Correction of Military Records or the Army Discharge Review Board, you may complete an online application for discharge review on this website

Yes I have tried to get it upgraded SGM i even went the congressional route as well. Although I have not heard about the other thing you had mentioned. I will try that as well.

It’s not always up to the recruiter. It could be the Station Commander who made the call as well. It comes down to mission. Though I don’t do NPS recruiting, it’s the same in my station. If we have an individual who needs a waiver that we know is going to take time, we shift priorities to those who will make our next board. We only have 6 board an FY so we have to be selective. I’ve been on station for 3 years now and there are still waivers that I worked when I first got here that have not been approved. Not on our end up from G1. Just being on the inside, I wouldn’t necessarily say that your recruiter is to blame. Waivers are a lot and complicated. We’ve had waivers go to other centers before because they had an SME there on how to work and submit waivers properly and then train us. So, it may be a good thing that you’ve gone to someone else. They may really know how to complete your waiver but trust me, it’s not always the recruiters fault.

RE3 JKQ for something I was wrongfully arrested for and then after I was separated the charges were dropped for lack of evidence because none existed.

I’ll be honest. I’ve worked 2 waiver packets like that. One is one of the ones that I mentioned earlier that has been in the works for 3 years. I’m not saying that yours will take that long but you will definitely want to stay on top of it. This is not to discourage you in any way as far as the wait but it may be a bit before you hear something back.PFC Michael Jansons
