So regular TDY Soldiers are getting paid $0.53 a mile, however as of 1 Jan Soldiers are now only getting $0.23 a mile for PCS per vehicle. Can anyone explain the reasoning behind this besides were broke? Gas prices sure haven't dropped enough to justify it. This will not even cover the cost of fuel for my move. Thoughts? If you are getting 15, that's $3.45. It's hard to say it doesn't justify gas cost, for the POV. Now for the larger trucks, sure, but for a POV, you need to be below 13mpg and higher than $3.00 per gallon for the equation for the gas portion to not work out.
