Furthermore, their actions are no longer surprising. This is pretty low attention compared with atrocities they have already committed. By not caring about what the world thinks and international public opinion, they are no longer bound by them; something the US military could not afford to do. I for one knew nothing of this until I read the article you posted. The media cares more about same sex marriage and what Caitlyn Jenner had for breakfast. If the US did the same thing, it would be all over everything. CONDEMN THEIR ACTIONS (ranks right up there with hexing or giving a pox to them)... Too bad they don't seem to realize that "condemning" is going to have the same effect as giving a very very bad kid a "time out"... That crap don't work for them either... Someone just needs an a$$ whoopin... We are dropping weapons on ISIS every day. Multiple nations are fighting them on the ground. A big part of the problem is that many of what we consider "coalition" nations are war-weary, and unwilling to commit to another decade of unwinnable conflict on the ground, especially in a nation that is historically antagonistic towards Western powers. It was one thing when we could take over Afghanistan or Iraq and set-up shop at will...quite a different one to square off against a nation with a competent military and an advanced air defense system, not to mention the backing of the Russian government.

What do you suppose the world SHOULD be doing that it is not already doing? But the whole world is going PC following our lead. The UN is totally noneffective and is even giving nukes to Iran. But that's a different subject, or is it.... If those in the country affected don't care, will not rise up to fight, or think it's better to run or even join, why should we care? It's just like with the Taliban when I was in the Stan; out of a village with a few hundred, there might be 10 Taliban maybe? Yet those 10 would wreak havoc in the village and surrounding areas and no one would group together to stop them. I'll bend over backwards to help anyone in need, but you have to want it as much as I want to help you. Some of these affected folks just don't.
