Why is the VA taking so long to approve a claim on a previously S/C rated condition? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/why-is-the-va-taking-so-long-to-approve-a-claim-on-a-previously-s-c-rated-condition <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>This is for those of you a little more knowledgeable and involved with the claims process. April 13th I had a shoulder replacement done at the Nashville VA hospital. The surgeon&#39;s notes and x-rays were in my record a couple of days later. The Surgeon completed a form letter for me to turn in for a temp increase on my rating for a year, at which time another C&amp;P would be done to determine a permanent rating, It&#39;s almost 90 days later and they are still in the processs of approving it. The VA has a standard policy in this situation that should have made this really easy for whomever is handling this, to make a rapid determination. Almost 90 days later and they&#39;re still sitting on it. Is this typical VA bs, or am I getting jerked around? I filed for a supplemental claim for a conditon that is now standard for anyone that served in a certain area. I wa sin that are, records show it, three different doctors have seen me and all say the same thing. It was 116 day I got a letter telling me that it was filed on the wrong form and that they were closing the case and that I needed to refile again withthe correect form which in fact I did file on the correct form...bottom line for me is that they closed the case to show a met suspense and keep their metrics looking good. They won&#39;t get away with it though. I refiled and if it gets turned own or closed witout reason, I will find a lawyer that specializes in veteran care.
