Why is it that most commissions that deal with Military compensation are made up with individuals who don't represent the Enlisted Corps?

I was just reading a report on a commission that is dealing with Military compensation and from what I can tell there is no former enlisted person on the commission, and yet they are going to decide the fate of the enlisted force?

Great question. Sadly, most politicians have no clue what it means to be in the military let alone on the enlisted side. There are several who have served but many of those did so to in order to better promote themselves in the political arena. Just look at Kerry, Hagel, and McCain.
