Why is it so hard for Airmen to go to Army schools? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/why-is-it-so-hard-for-airmen-to-go-to-army-schools <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I know the army has slots for other services and even other countries but why is it so hard to get into? It seems like no matter what you do you have the opportunity to go to different schools while you’re in the army. I know 92Y that are jump qualified, but in the Air Force it seems that you HAVE to be apart of some super high speed low drag beard wearing Badass to even get looked at. If you want jumps school, again assuming, just for shits and grins, you picked the wrong branch. Why would you go to a army school unless you were in a unit or job that required that school to preform your current or upcoming mission. In the army that 92Y might be in SF support and would need to be Airborne to preform there job in that unit. Does the Air Force offer an equivalent school, have you been to it? Has your service agreed to pay for it? If not you can ask till your blue in the face, your not going. Is it advantageous to your career in the AF? If not why should you go? Also school time slots dictate when you go. I was heavy all my career and jump school and/or air assault school were not an option as heavy units don&#39;t need those qualifications. The Army dose not just willy nilly send personnel to schools, mission first , needs of the Army.
