Why is it hard to find a truck driving job to where you can be home more every week and not require a lot of experience?

Nature of the business. Truck drivers are what keeps this country going and sadly that means they give a lot of themselves to ensure others benefit. Doesn't that sound familiar?

For much the same reason you can't find a job in retail where you don't have to deal with customers, it's the nature of the business...

That sounds like a prime job position in a trucking company. I would venture to guess that this particular kind of position is coveted and is reserved for the drivers with more experience and tenure. Pay your dues. Do your time, and you, too, can rise to this position.
