Why is a person who questions political individuals, decisions and policy assumed to be a bigot or racist?

I made a post and wrote things I would like to know about POTUS. Where did he really come from, why did he seal all records. Why is there so many Muslims in key positions in the government? And was he properly vetted. He has a agenda and he has been very good at what he has dne. I was immediately called a racist. Are we so he'll bent to make everything racist and PC that we are getting carried away.

Your Questioning why members or a religious group can be misconstrued as racism I suppose, we all know religious extremists are dangerous people but every religion has had their fair share of those.

Well, I'm not going to label you anything. But I think you should ask yourself why you care so much that people in the government are Muslims. Why should their religion matter? Why do you choose to identify someone by religion instead of looking at the person? As far as where Obama came from, that point is moot --settled information. Anyone who does not look at the evidence and accept it at this point is just a conspiracy theorist --and that begs the question, why don't you trust the evidence or at least the POTUS's integrity? Also, you need to stop with the PC thing. Not being politically correct does not give you some sort of free pass to slander or discriminate against people, nor does it grant you freedom from criticism.

I don't remember reading your original post. However, what you are experiencing is the result of "Cognitive Dissonance". Bringing up the subjects you listed (and many others) causes some people to become uncomfortable with the differences between what they "know to be true" and what they are reading in your post. They also cannot accept that someone could have a reasoned and intelligent opinion that is different than their own. In many cases they are unwilling to even listen to arguments and newly discovered evidence which may be counter to their current beliefs. It is easier for them to make rapid fire ad hominem attacks then it is to challenge their beliefs and make reasoned arguments for their positions or god forbid even admit they were wrong. What's really scary is how easy it is for some people to jump from ad hominem attacks to direct physical action. You see this on college campus's almost daily.

Now to answer your original questions:
- The President sealed his records to hide what was in them. It was perfectly legal and we can only speculate as to what he is hiding or why. Just wait, in all likelihood the next Republican president will have the records unsealed and we will find out
- Their are lots of Muslims in the President's Administration because he was raised with Muslims and many of his friends and associates are Muslims. He claims to be a Christian and we can only take him at his word. Either way it doesn't matter because he was legally elected, twice, and religious affiliation is not a requirement for the office.
- Yes, He was properly vetted by the US Supreme Court and that's the highest level of review allowed for by our government. No further vetting is possible.
- Of course President Obama has an agenda. All presidents do, its a requirement for the job and they even have a name for it. It's called a Platform. Does he have a Secret Agenda? Probably, most people seeking higher office do. However, we can only speculate what it is or guess at it by observing his actions.

Sadly the answer to your question is programed thinking. The lefts agenda since the 70’s has been to paint every minority as a victim. It is to the level now that even accusing someone of a double standard is considered racist. Call an Illegal Alien, an Illegal Alien is now racist you MUST call them an undocumented resident. I’m sure in a few more years it will be undocumented citizen.
As a junior enlisted and new to the ship I had a fellow (same rank) Sailor who liked to utter racist remarks. (White people need to all die, kill all the white people, I hate white people, ect ect) He was a fan of Malcom X the Black Panther and an out spoken critic of anything not Black. I voiced my concern and I tried to deal with it at the lowest level, then I went to my shops CoC. I was informed that As I was White I was the Racist one, the E7 that told me this then told me he would file a SIMIO complaint against me and who would they believe me the new, guy or the E7 that had been on board and was friends with the Command SIMIO. The Racist Sailor HYT out of the Navy the, E7 somehow made E8. I learned not to trust the E7 club on that ship.

In this day and age if someone does not like what you have to say, if they are offended that you do not agree with 100% of their opinions they will immediately play the racism card. They will do it to cover up their racist behavior, they will scream it the fastest and the loudest just to shut you up, and it works.
The Above E7 knew he was in the wrong, he should have hammered the racist sailor, he allowed this to go on long before I ever showed up. He was covering up his lack of action by doing everything he could to silence me. Sadly it worked. I learned from it and now I am the E6 that has no issue taking it to the mat’s with higher ups. I probably will never make Chief because of this.

If your questions are legitimate and not race driven then ask them. For the people that commented about your concern over Muslims, Muslim is NOT a race it is a religion. It is also the Religion we are currently fighting a war against. Spin it how you will say what you want but they call it a Jihadi which is a Holy War. They do not want our land, our tech, or resources, they want America to be wiped off the face of the earth. They want everyone to convert to Islam. This is the jihadist goal.

Every Politician has an agenda sometimes you see it sometimes you don’t, you are correct to question someone that speaks of transparency then seals all records and hides behind executive privilege.

Just my two cents on this subject.

Alright there are many things wrong here, first off to answer your question straightforward, it is not racist nor is it bigoted to question a political individual or decision based purely on intellect -- it is however xenophobic, racist, and bigoted to question someone like the POTUS because he has "so many Muslims in key positions" and he "sealed all records." To clarify he has no more Muslims in key positions than other presidents, and he revealed his birth certificate, and even birth video at the White House Correspondents dinner in 2011. It is narrow-minded to question someone's policies because of who they surround themselves with, and where they were born.

President Obama is a US Citizen by birth.
Which "all" records are you interested in?
Do you have a concern about a specific position or person? Why would any religious test be applied for any governmental position?
Yes, he was properly vetted by the American electorate twice.

You are being labeled as a racist simply because the line of questioning you choose has long been resolved and will be completely moot in less than a year. Many people have asked the same questions and many others believe the motivation is racist.

My experience has shown that those who are quick to throw a race card are actually the biggest racists.

Unfortunately this is a product of the society we are currently living in. We used to be able to have conflicting opinions, different views, and have a reasonable debate and part ways as friends. These days people have become so venomous and almost zealot-like in their opinions that if you don't agree with them 100% then clearly you support the other side.

For example, I have a friend who I've known since we were children. She is an adamant Bernie supporter. Well apparently there was a meme going around telling people how to make "Bernie Glowsticks" which was actually a recipe for making a chlorine bomb. Well I posted a warning for people to NOT try this because they will die. She saw my post and launched the most venomous tirade against me because I'm not a Bernie supporter and I'm just spreading hateful messages and I'm just trying to bring Bernie down etc etc.

For over 2 hours I was literally yelling at her to actually read the content of the post and how I was trying to warn the general public not to believe everything you read on the internet. She wasn't having any of it. She just continued her rant on how Bernie is going to change our country and hateful people like me need to be removed from the country. This was coming from a childhood friend.

Yes, people are getting carried away. It is nearly impossible to have reasonable discussions these days.
