SPC Greg Gobert 4922789 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div> Why is a Civil Affairs Reserve unit would be on jump status while the Psyop Reserve unit across the hall isn't on jump status? 2019-08-16T14:53:52-04:00 SPC Greg Gobert 4922789 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div> Why is a Civil Affairs Reserve unit would be on jump status while the Psyop Reserve unit across the hall isn't on jump status? 2019-08-16T14:53:52-04:00 2019-08-16T14:53:52-04:00 CPT Private RallyPoint Member 4922803 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Needs of the Army....a phrase you should become accustomed to. <br /><br />No BS answer: the Civil affairs unit probably has a current mission that requires jump status while the psy op unit does not. Easy to drop CA into an area- damn harder to drop Psyops with printers, mimeograph machines, radio station, etc. Response by SGM Bill Frazer made Aug 16 at 2019 3:55 PM 2019-08-16T15:55:57-04:00 2019-08-16T15:55:57-04:00 SGT Private RallyPoint Member 4923283 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>they have different mission sets and commander&#39;s intent. location means nothing. If they are a headquarters element or a regional team, they may not be on jump Response by 1SG Private RallyPoint Member made Aug 16 at 2019 9:01 PM 2019-08-16T21:01:49-04:00 2019-08-16T21:01:49-04:00 CW3 Private RallyPoint Member 6685537 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>For the same reason a CA battalion is on jump status, but its higher headquarters, the Brigade HHC, is not. Needs of the Army. (and I currently thank God for that every month. I&#39;m 53, and so are my knees, and they thank me for it every day. No way in hell I&#39;m ever going Airborne) Response by CW3 Private RallyPoint Member made Jan 23 at 2021 11:31 AM 2021-01-23T11:31:33-05:00 2021-01-23T11:31:33-05:00 2019-08-16T14:53:52-04:00
