When as a leader you are being told you cannot take someone out back and smoke the piss out of them and make them truly understand what the did wrong and that it will not be tolerated the NCO loses credibility and the discipline that was once given.

I use my new Soldiers as a example. In almost 10yrs I have never seen Soldiers come out of basic training like they do now. When I was a private I didn't talk to anyone over my team leader unless talked to first or I had a reason that merited the conversation. New guys fresh out of basic come up to me and try to talk to me like I'm there best bud from High school. There used to be a sense of Awe and fear given to the rank and it seems that it has dispersed with the changing of the military to the softness we now exhibit.Response by SSG Kyle Johnson made Apr 28 at 2016 8:31 AM2016-04-28T08:31:07-04:002016-04-28T08:31:07-04:002014-04-13T21:12:17-04:00
