Do you know why? Its because of the ridiculous pensions they receive and can't afford. In the past 3 years I have made 4 complaints against postal workers being rude at the post office, carriers delivering the wrong mail "daily" and one even wrote on my mailbox with a marker because he didn't want to look for the address on the house or the other side of the mail box. Federal postal workers don't deserve the day after Christmas off for free. If they want it off they need to take vacation time and they can have it off. If postal workers actually cared they would chastise their fellow workers who hurt their reputation, take a cut in their pensions and give up their GS status so they can be held accountable for their actions because currently you can't hardly fire them.
