Why doesn't the Federal Government invest the Billions to Rebuild and Reinvigorate our Inner Cities like it does other Countries?

What can we to do "Eliminate" the Ball and Chain of Poverty? Before we handle other people's business overseas why don't we take care of our "OWN" People here at home? If we don't Invest in the Replenishment and Rejuvenation of our own Impoverished cities; what are we saying about the future of this Country?

The reason is simple, you remember those "shovel ready projects" a few years ago! Where did those dollars go? I'll tell you, straight to the deficit! Until we can get the politics out of politics, nothing constructive will never get done in my humble opinion.

I've said it before and I will say it time and time again.......You just cannot use logic (I think it is against the law, actually) when discussing politics. Those two words (nowadays) do not like to be in the same universe together.

We can spend $100 here and get $100 of value. We can spend $100 somewhere else and get $10,000 of value.

Its so that we will all keep pointing fingers at eachother. Poor to the Rich, Middle to both the Rich and the Poor it keeps us divided. The more we are divided whether its this "Black lives matter" movement that is saying kill whitey. Or the Klan, or pick any group or subject that is divisive the more they (the people in power) can control us.
They don't want to get people out of poverty and self sufficient, because then those people will realize that they don't need the government to nanny them. Its all about control.

Because it would make too much sense to take care of America first. Unfortunately, the reason it won't happen is the Inner Cities don't have anything to offer us like oil, trade, etc...

ROI - Return On Investment

Lets be real and party afflation aside and look at it. I've lived in the projects in DC and first hand saw how the DC government come into an area that is torn up from the floor up and tell the residents we're going to clean this up and make it better. They did just that in a few areas. Now you have a beautiful area that folks want to move into, but what comes in is exactly what was pushed out, and a year later, it looks worse than it did before. So in that case, you're loosing money giving it to some people who think they are "due" something vs getting something by "EARNING" it. Go to the projects and mention WORK, and see how many are left standing near you? Not all are like this mind you, but just see what happens. So the ROI in this case we've lost before we've begun.
To get an ROI you're going to need to change the mindset of what is owed for free vs. what is given for a honest days work. If someone is willing to put some skin in the game to make themselves better, I'm all for giving them access to additional monies to get them farther if that is their desire. I'm against just giving them money for the hell of it. I'd even be willing to tie additional monies towards GPA levels in education. Something like a GI bill of sorts, but again, it's not free, you're going to have to earn your way through it.
In giving money to a foreign country, the US is hoping for a bigger ROI; Influence weighs more than money. Money makes the world go round, so if I was to give 100 million to some third world looser president and then be able to make a forward base on their shores, that's a win. If I can then convince him that it's in his country's best interests to keep me there, there's another win. Especially if another country I don't like gets butthurt at the notion of me being so close.
