Why does the TXNG have such a hard issuing Basic TA50? Is it a money problem or just shit tier Supply?

Came out of active duty to the guard. I feel like a shitbag because I have to constantly ask for equipment that I should have been issued already. Been here for three years.

I have no experience in Texas, but I have served and worked with the Ohio and Kentucky Guard, plus supported a number of the Plains States Guard units. I wouldn't think that there should be any funding issue for Basic TA50, or whatever it's called today, none of the units I served with had a problem with it. Now they may be having supply issues since Covid 19, I deal with them every day in my civilian jobs.
Have you talked to your NCO Chain of Command about it? PLT SGT or SFC? Or your PL? It might be that the supply chain just needs a bit more juice that you have as a E-4. If you haven't, I would get a list of all my shortages and start with my Squad Leader and work my way up.

Well, you answered yourself with the tags you used. Money and supply are the reasons. If the TA 50 you need is not readily on hand and the unit can't get their hands on it from BN, then an order needs to be put in the system. However, if there are no funds in the system used for ordering, then the order can't be submitted.

Units are not authorized shelf stock for OCIE.
If you haven't been to CIF, or haven't received a CIF issue fedexed to your unit, that's just on your AGRs not doing their job to get you a CIF appointment or issue shipped.
And it's pretty easy for them to just blame someone else, like CIF.

I'm a CIF Manager in the CT ARNG. Funding has been an issue for my state because of COVID and other factors. This year, our CIF will not be getting much funding for purchasing gear due to a number of issues at both the state and national levels.
