While I have a couple dozen military affiliated friends on FB, the majority of my friends on there have never served and have no clue about service. I had to answer other because I'm not concerned with the main four answers. The other is quality of conversation. I find the conversation on RallyPoint to be from a perspective you cannot get from the general population. I play games more often than socialize, even family. Rally Point, on the other hand, I always have something to say when it comes to military matters and I don't have to deal with a lot of the bull I see on Facebook (like videos that are disturbing or religious messages). RallyPoint is a unique tool for both those currently serving and those who are not. While you hit a larger audience with Facebook, not everyone there served. Therefore, they simply don't understand us the way we understand each other here. RallyPoint is a safe haven to share ideas, seek guidance and to connect with fellow brothers and sisters-in-arms. The RallyPoint Team does a great job of vetting potential members to verify service to ensure the amount of "trolls" are minimum. That is not a priority on any other social media platform. I like that. Also, with regards to folks speaking more formally on RallyPoint, I think it is great. I arrived here 10 minutes ago today to see a post about lighthearted jabs on other services (linked from Facebook), and have since read a ridiculous thread about religion (the initial thread was well-intended, but descended into garbage) and this poll. If this is indicative of the content on this site, it might be time to head back to FB. I'm hoping that there is intelligent conversation, or even debate, to be had here.
