Why do people continue to use a commercialize fake US ARMY seal on Coins, Flags, Banners, Billboards and so on?

First I want to say any recognition of the service is good. I have noted that a image is used in place of the official US ARMY seal. Yet, the other services official seal is used, Why? This happens most of the time when all services seals are displayed. Any views on why this is happening even in things service members are doing? Is it lack of information, Don't care for accuracy of a Jibe at the service.

You know, that's a very good question, and I don't know why. I'm retired AF working on an Army installation, and I have notice this, but have never thought to ask. I thought it was an "Army" thing...

Wild guess.

The "actual" seals are trademarked and protected, but the fakes aren't. You have to ask permission to use the real ones, and they don't grant that. But you don't have to ask to use the fakes.
