I understand some financial institutions will deposit a low amount like this into someone’s account for verification purposes. But I don’t think that’s the case this time. Why did I get paid 1 cent? 2019-08-29T08:44:53-04:00 1LT(P) Alexander W. 4968806 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I received a payment of 1 cent from the Army National Guard. Did you contact your NCOs? Without seeing your LES no one here can give you a clear answer. All we here can do is assume you have a serious debt you are needing to pay back. End of month is basically here. A 0.01 deposit to make sure the bank works ESPECIALLY if you just changed/updated/started a direct deposit. I was always confused because it cost them more to send the LES than to make the small adjustment.
