Why can't some individual accept constructive criticism?

A certain SGT on RP didn't like me stating that RP had no right to determine what posts should or should not be made available. I suggested that the individual RP members be allowed to decide which post to read or disregard. I want the ability to think and decide for myself! Well this certain Army Sgt felt offended because I told him to Manuel and take responsibility for his actions. He wasn't man enough to take on that challenge, but he voted me down instead. I gladly accept the down vote and will pray the Sgt learn acceptance, responsibility, and learns to make decisions for himself.

Sir, my problem with your statement was that you didn't carefully look to understand my question, explanation, or reply to your comment. How constructive can one's criticism be if its based off of one's misunderstanding versus ensuring you have the truth ? Even your statement here reaffirms you've yet to understand my statement.

Furthermore, do you NOT realize that many professionals shy away from Rallypoint for the very reason that one cannot avoid such topics?

I think the OP was referring to a way to hide posts from your own browser. So it can be ignored by them if the topic is not interesting to them. I don't think its a bad idea. Not just for politics but also or some subject matter that is out of your scope. Like if an Army guy is asking a very specific Army question, like "what do I need to do to switch from the 28XX MOS to the 32AB MOS?" That's a subject that I cant contribute to so I do not need to see it every time I refresh my screen to look for new topics of interest. I think that is what he was driving at.
