With decreasing retention and funding, increasing cutbacks and the lack of mature specialized knowledge, wouldn't it fit in today's force? Best friend in the service was an MP, I was not but got my Bachelors in forensic science. We both applied for a few local departments. They told him that they don't view the AF MP position as something that would creditable experience. How messed up is that!? I am sure a case could be made that every career field is important enough to have a WO, but that wouldn't be logical. With that said, which positions do you think would qualify for the WO rank in the AF? TAC-P ? IDMT'S? AIRCREW? PARA LEGALS? I think the AF would have a hard time identifying specific positions without "ego attacking" other positions.
