Why are there so many old topics?

I've been around here for a while now. When I click the Home menu at the top, then Answers does anyone know why it is showing topics sometimes over a year old?

PO1 Rick Serviss After you click on Answers, click on "Date Published" to pull up current topics.

Additionally, when you click on "Home," you can click on "My Feed" to pull up topics/groups that you have an interest in.

That drives me insane too. The same old ones keep popping up. I think every time someone remarks or gives it a thumbs up, it moves to the top of the feed.
I hope they fix it

The database pulls up topics that have recent activity on them so if someone you follow comments on a post, regardless of the age of the post, the post will come back to the top.

I actually like it because there are some postings I totally forgot about. This is not Mad Magazine, some of the recycle stuff is actually worthy of the new members to see.
