Why are there 2 separate Infantry Mortar Leader Course groups? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/why-are-there-2-separate-infantry-mortar-leader-course-groups

Based on my attendance I was added to the Infantry Mortar Leader Course and the Infantry Mortar Leaders Course [listed as an individual school group]. The groups seem to be identical in purpose and have many of the same members.
When I went through the course in 1980 it was the Infantry Mortar Platoon Officers Course (IMPOC) for commissioned and non-commissioned officers. It was one of the two best military training courses I ever attended.
