Why are so many people "Dissatisfied" with the Performance of President Obama?

I'm a HUGE Admirer of our President! I Personally Love the job he has done! Especially with what he had to tell with when he took over the Office! Many people seem to Disregard that fact! Why? I don't know! However, many of you seem Dissatisfied! Why? He hasn't done anything for this Country in terms of Moving it Forward? The Country hasn't Progressed under him? What are your Thoughts!

I just happened to look that up today on what he has done while in office, and I think a person's opinion of him boils down to what issues matter to each individual.

Take Iraq for example. Some see it as a win for him because he finally got us out of there, while others see our departure as creating conditions that allowed ISIS to come into power.

Like I said, every person has their own vision of what is good for this country, so there are always going to be those who do not like our President, regardless of who is in office.

SPC Andrew Griffin To me his biggest crime was gutting NASA. No other organization on the planet has delivered so much for the quality of life for people the world over...something they are much less capable of, now, because of him. Next, the circus he's made out of Special Forces. Parading them around on TV like it's his personal accomplishment. Politicizing it.

During the Bush administration, things were actually doing fairly well until the democrats took congress in 2006. Most democrats refuse to look at that fact. Spending was sub-trillion until then. The US Constitution does not grant spending at the administrative level, it's given to the congress. Yes bush signed the laws, but they had to originate in the congress. Yes spending under the bush administration doubled the national public debt, but the left conveniently leaves out that BO is doing the exact same thing.

Debt is exponentially increasing and the left conveniently leaves out that little factoid. BO called bush unpatriotic for increasing the debt ceiling and raising public debt, but that is conveniently left out of the rhetoric from the left as BO does the exact same thing. It's also convenient that the stock market is increasing while they are borrowing money from the fed, making it easy for businesses to pad their wallets with low interest loans while the people will be footing the interest in the future. You can bet they fed may hold off on interest rate increases. As soon as they do, the fiat currency bubble will burst and it's going to be bad. And guess what it will be BOTH bush and BOs fault for not reigning in spending by vetoing those overly large spending bills.

BO complained about haliburton and no-bid contracts and one of the very first contracts up after BO was elected went to halliburton. BO said no lobbiests in his cabinet and who does he consult, lobbiests and big business, Jeff Immelt being his "big-business" czar who is the CEO for GE a company which paid no taxes several years running due to subsidies that benefit big-business. Let's not forget Warren Buffet who has a large stake ensuring that the Keystone Pipeline isn't created because it's his trains that are running that oil right now.

Government creates nothing, it's a consumer. It doesn't have factories, it's not providing B2B services, and it's damn sure not creating an environment that benefits everyone. It creates burdensome regulations, it taxes and it redistributes our money under the guise of the greater good to large businesses like GE, solindra, et.al.

And don't get me started on BO care, i know plenty of people who are paying much more out-of-pocket expenses, so much so that their nest eggs are depleting at an unsuitable rate, including my own. Him and his democrat congress with the RINOs are destroying the economy for us as well as future generations while some people sit around saying, "I got mine." I have to wonder, are you really paying attention?

SPC Griffin-I'll be frank; my primary disappointment in Mr. Obama relates to his apparent support for changes in our society I do not espouse based on my religious views. Taking that out of the equation however, I also see no great evidence of the improvements he is often credited with. His administration's most lauded achievement, the Affordable Healthcare Act, led directly to the loss of my favored insurance coverage in exchange for less effective coverage due to higher costs imposed on my employer. While this may have helped some (my sister seems to have gained temporary benefits she could not otherwise have), the personal accounts I've been told do not sound favorable. In terms of national defense, we are, following more than a decade of continued operations, watching Iraq burn and Afghanistan slide into corruption. ISIS is an unimaginable horror that "Hearts and Minds" (admittedly a "Bush-era" strategy) failed to prevent...the Obama administration has neither definitively moved to quell it, nor clarified a position of un-involvement. Finally, as a President with so much opportunity to unite us, Mr. Obama has presided over what may prove to be one of the most divisive periods of American history since before the Civil War. I believe you'd agree with me that a leader should speak "to" their people...not "above" them, and much of what the President has said seems to alienate, rather than re-assure. "Progress" is an ambiguous accolade if it isn't measured against what is being bull-dozed out of the way to make it possible. Perhaps what is needed in a nation as diverse and large as ours, is a leader who can inspire pride in what we've already done...as opposed to guilt for what we've failed to do.

If I were a Hollywood producer casting an actor as the first African American President of the United States, I would hire Barack Obama. He's a telegenic and eloquent. As the real thing, he has been a national disaster. How you can love the job he's done baffles me! His failures are legion. It's President Obama not George Bush that has taken a torch to the Middle East. The percentage of people not participating in the work force is the highest in decades. Wages are stagnate. The middle class is in decline. African Americans and other minorities are worse off than they were before he took office. After seven tears you can't blame all this on President Bush. We hired Barack Obama to fix things, he only made them worse. And finally, President Obama is a leading member of those on the left that see America as the problem not the solution. His goal has been to cut America down to size by reducing the military and abdicating American leadership around the world. I believe he will go down as one of the most ineffectual presidents in American history. I can understand the pride African Americans have in the first black president after the history of race in America. Nevertheless, African Americans need to wake up and realize that Democrats in general have exploited them and not improved their lot in life.

I would ask what actions has he taken, using the Constitutional process to advance our society. If I were to rate him for redistribution of wealth and driving up the National Debt to a point that will eventually bankrupt us, He definitely would get a double thumbs up.
The future of our youth is at risk and I lay the primary responsibility of that at his and Democrats doorsteps. With a good share to the Republicans for not being able to counter the bypassing of Congress or using legitimate powers. I can understand how the current , "I want mine now attitude" is so prevalent and they don't care who pays for the government largesse', but the kids will rue the day he was elected at some point in the future. JMHO

SPC Andrew Griffin - This topic has been addressed many times in RallyPoint and, every time, I respond in the same way. Obama is the most inept, immoral, corrupt, racist, and divisive President in the history of our country. People who do not see that have their heads up their butts.

In addition, people who say the level of disrespect for Obama is unprecedented have very short memories. The Democrats/liberals launched just as much against Bush as is being launched against Obama and his corrupt Administration.

Our country is much worse off in every way and in every area than it was when Obama took office.

We elected a politician that represented one of the most violent and disturbed cities in the nation to be our president. He has failed the energy industry, foreign policy is garbage, allowed civil unrest to reign over law and order, proposed and forced a failing and worthless socialized medical plan on the people, has done nothing but further strip rights from the American citizen, has authorized a reduction in our military to a crippling size, has lied repetetively about everything he has not done, supports the creation of minimum wage jobs vs sustainable income jobs, did I mention completely destabilized the middle east when he decided to not finish what was started, and sell his ethnic background as the reason for him doing a good job. It is a pathetic state of affairs when this is the best the absolute best the American people can do. He has no experience with the military or the intelligence community is a proponent of socialism. His mother and grandparents were socialists/communists. Seriously why do people not read? Pick up a history book or something....

I think you're onto something with this, but the feelings against him are still strong. He could be the second coming of Jesus and still folks won't be satisfied. I believe he has done a lot of good for this country but no one will admit it, but as soon as something goes wrong, they're quick to point and wag the finger as if it's his fault. I've also noticed how he's vilified for things that previous presidents have done with no real fallout, BUT because he's Obama, he's wrong. Obama can't be black... he's biracial (that means he's STILL Black BTW) . He's not American, he's Kenyan. He's not Christian, yet his former pastor (Christian) was an Marine and Navy Corpsman who was part of a team that took care of Pres. Johnson. Wrights radical views came at a price and was eventually let go by Obama, but because of his name, he's instantly a Muslim. The stock market hit new highs, and gas hit historic lows, but it wasn't because of anything he did; can't be. It's Obama we're talking about. He wanted more jobs, but they're not the types people want, so he didn't do that either. He made the DREAM act. But before him, every president had some kind of amnesty program for illegals, but this is definitely Obama's fault and no one else. No one wants to go after big business and agriculture being that they are the main users of illegal workers...not the federal government; definitely not Obama. ISIS is Obama's fault. He pulled us out of Iraq to soon.... no one wants to admit the host country wanted us out also and that negotiations on us leaving were started before he took office. Obama holds Israel's feet to the fire. Most politicians are too scared to say anything negative about Israel for being called anti-Semitic. Iran is Obama's fault. Never mind there were other countries who signed the deal; never mind that before Obama took office Iran went from 0 to 5000 centrifuges. Because Obama won't allow Congress to do what it's been doing for the last 20 years (a whole lot of nothing), and he makes executive orders to do things, people get butthurt. And he hasn't even issued the most ex orders in history. He repealed a dated and useless DADT. Has anyone asked the sexual orientation of anyone in a foxhole, or hasty fighting position in the last 100 years? For some reason I doubt you gave a sh*t. He's all for allowing women a larger part in the military; in areas where before only men could go. Has Obama messed up? Ohh hells yeah he has, but no more and no less than any other president. The VA is messed up because of Obama. Now the VA has been around longer than he's been alive, and it's been screwed up since then. And it's Obama's fault? Name one president that has had to deal with the instant ramifications of social media, rapid internet access, the ability for news agencies to push views out on the same technological scale Obama has. Obama is NOT a bad president. He's is a productive President to the best of his abilities, with the tools given. He works or sorta works with THE laziest and most worthless congress in the history of mankind, and takes hits for the crap they won't do. And that's democrat and republican. So for anyone to sit and say he's a bad president now is very shortsighted. Carter was seen as a "bad" president, but it was some of the things he did in office that lasted the test of time that made him good. Same with those after him, and same with Obama.

All presidents have been always been under scrutiny. Now, I do respect your opinion by I differ in what I think of him. He never had any real experience being at the helm of anything except for the community organizing stuff he did until he was practically elected senator. I took pains in reading both of his auto biographies and learned that he deeply is following his father footsteps. A communist that hates all western values.

Without any hesitation, he has pandered to the ignorant without any substantive message except hope and change. Now, with the first African American president of the United States, race tensions are at its worst. He sends WH officials to attend Michael Brown's funeral, knowingly and already proven that he was committing a crime while he got killed, nevertheless he still insists in police brutality, while when the first General Officer killed in action in a war Zone, he was completely absent. He calls an idiot, Sandra Fluke, because in a public event she is called, rightfully an idiot, but never calls Kathryn Steinle parents because it does not meet his criteria, after she was actually killed for not ENFORCING THE LAWS he swore to do TWICE.

I have contempt for him as he does not want to follow our laws, the CONSTITUTION every bit. In seven years not a single budget (his duty, mind you) has passed. Do you think we can keep control of this country by running it like a third world country bodega? The debt has already gone up 100% under his helm. Our enemies have gone bolder and more threatening. He has managed to cut our allies and now wants to kiss our enemies.

He let his DOJ, run an illegal weapons program and has used every single trick he can to obscure the process in finding justice, where there has been proven that he let criminals buy and sell firearms that have resulted in the deaths of countless US officers, civilians and foreign nationals. He put the taxpayer in the hook to pay for failed Billion dollar enterprises and has not had the decency to apologized for these spectacular failures.

He is the only president that I have known to publicly invite to the white house the parents of a deserter, and praise them.

Now, you may want to also look at his track record to what he did before entering the political arena. He started his first campaign in the house of a convicted felon, Bill Ayers, who hates the US, and has a few dead innocent under his belt. His area of community organizing, is the worst area for crime within Chicago, things went worse.

The worst part of all this, is that if you clearly state your facts, people won't answer with other facts, as they most likely have none, but rather attacking these with the usual "you are racist".

I am sorry if you don't agree, but you asked for an opinion. You got a very honest one that does not include the long list of perceived and real disagreements, specially for those of us that took the oath "to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States against enemies foreign and domestic" seriously.

A 46 year who never held a full time position before, is not desirable to run such a complex office.

My issue with him is how he presents himself here and abroad. If you do not say anything when a cop is shoot in a tension filled area until weeks later but invite a kid to the white house that made the news because a teacher thought his clock was a bomb the next day it sets a bad image. If you tell one country or religion they should not hold a celebration because it might offend their neighbor it looks bad. He has advisors that explain how best to interact with a country based on political and cultural ramifications. This country will think you are weak if you approach them this way. it will insult them if you present your feet. these kinds of things. he has chosen to ignore his advisors (or not get ride of them for so much bad advise) and insult our allies. he could have made a much bigger impact if he had chosen a agenda in his first term. Instead he has flailed all over the place like a Muppet. He says one thing and then does another down the road. The lack of focus makes it look like he is unsure what he is doing.

I'm not a huge fan because of certain policies, but I don't feel he gets the credit he deserves for others.

And since my momma taught me "if you ain't got anything nice to say then shut the hell up" I'll focus on the good.

Sending SEALS into Pakistan without permission to nail Bin Laden took brass balls that come in dump trucks. When you think of the political risks of sending armed troops into another country... it well could have been considered an act of war, yet he sacked up and did it.

I'm not a fan of the Affordable Healthcare, I think it's the wrong way to help people who desperately need it... and is unnecessarily expensive, BUT he did SOMETHING... at least now we can talk about "how can we actually make this work" instead of "will it ever happen".

As for the economic recovery... the highest point of the NYSE was on 3/5/2013, so I don't think we can say that he "drove the economy into the ground" truthfully. National debt is the highest it's ever been, but the ONLY president that that isn't true of is William Jefferson Clinton, when he balanced the budget in 1996.

If you actually listen to his speeches about gun control they make sense (tougher for felons and the mentally ill to get guns), but I think he was the wrong person to give them, and gun sales soared.

Now there's plenty of inexcusable mistakes... Benghazi, saying foolish things on a global stage, etc, but they aren't mistakes that haven't been made by previous administrations (anyone remember Reagan saying "we bomb Russia in 10 minutes"? Don't get me started on Bush 43...), and there's the whole "Blackhawk Down" and "Operation Eagle Claw", but as a whole I don't think he is the "worst ever" that my uber conservative friends make him out to be.

Oh, and as someone who isn't convinced that either party has America's best interest in mind... I don't think he gets hated and raked over the coals as bad as some people think either. Probably because he isn't as bad at "sticking his foot in his mouth" as some of the previous administrations.

I would counter-argue that he has been shown a level of deliberate ignorance, passive denial and sycophantic kowtowing that makes even the most hardened stomach turn. Or, to put it more simply, this is what happens when amateurs try to play in the big leagues.

But that's not your question. Your question is, Why are so many dissatisfied with his performance, correct?

Here's the short answer: Because we're losing our status as a superpower.

- We aren't feared by our adversaries, particularly Russia and China. We aren't respected or trusted by our allies, particularly in Europe.
- We're teetering toward $20 TRILLION in debt before his administration leaves office and we have little to show for any of it. And the dollar isn't worth the paper it's printed on.
- Unemployment and underemployment remain persistent problems, despite rosy-colored economic forecasts.
- Petrol still costs about $3.00 per gallon.
- Racial relations have never been worse, at least not in my lifetime.
- The so-called level playing field where everyone's a winner has wrought a childish society that reels between temper tantrums and delusions of grandeur as narcissism and the high octane of social media fuels rampant egocentrism.
- Politics are now an exercise in self-destruction. The art of the compromise is dead, or at least very dormant in our political spectrum, particularly with Capitol Hill vis-a-vis the White House and vice versa.
- Neo-isolationism has wrought no dividends. There is no clear end to the quagmire in Southwest Asia and no limit to the bad scenarios evolving in Southeast Asia.
- The military is probably at it's lowest ebb as far as morale is concerned in a generation, perhaps two generations. One of the reasons for it is that it's being cut to a level not seen since the days between WWI and WWII and it's being led by politicians and bureaucrats who don't have the first clue what it's like to make sacrifices and endure hardship.

I am neither satisfied nor dissatisfied with President Obama's performance.
Yes he has done some good things as President and he has made many missteps which makes you wonder what is going on.
His getting involved in the Trayvon Martin matter seemed more about race than anything else, especially with his saying "if I had a son". On that matter in my opinion I think the DA wrecked his case because he concentrated more on race than the actual fact that George Zimmerman acted irresponsibly by ignoring the orders of the 911 dispatcher to stay back and wait for police to arrive.
Trading 5 Taliban for 1 deserter, no one can ever convince me that it was a good deal for anyone except the Taliban. Military minded or not, who trades 5 stars for 1 bench player?
Going to the funeral in South Carolina and instead of doing a proper eulogy for the Pastor he got on a soap box about gun control. Personally for me its very disrespectful to say anything at a funeral about anything except about the deceased.
His move on immigration, bypassing our lame duck (nicest word I can use here) House and Senate to attempt to grant legal status to what is the number 11 million illegal immigrants. Instead of closing the gap he only widened it.
When Michael Ferguson was killed in Ferguson, MO he sent White House representatives to attend the funeral, since then there have been several police officers killed by criminals, actually assassinated is a better term the most prolific being the 2 NYC officers ambushed by a black assailant while sitting in their patrol car, and has anyone from the White House gone to those funerals? Not that we have heard of and you know how social media reports even a fly being too long in a spot.
President Obama has made very snide remarks during the National Prayer Breakfast about Christianity, but quickly said its a subject for another day, it leaves people wondering what he was insinuating.
Comparing the Crusades to ISIS / ISIL in a speech, I mean your comparing religious fanatics who are at war today with religious fanatics who were at war how many hundreds of years ago against another group of religious fanatics, what is the point?
Iran Nuclear Deal, how do you make a deal with a county that has stabbed us in the back before? And even during talks their leader, the Sha, has said that Iran will do as it pretty much pleases and is not concerned with what anyone else thinks, Iran has dictated inspection criteria. How do you trust Iran, and don't give me crap about verification because we all know that the Iranian leadership is verifiable crazy.
On the good things, I do like the Health care, its long over due however we need to work out the bumps because nothing is perfect. We as a world leader need this and need to make our program an example for other countries to follow.
Giving the go ahead on the Osama bin Laden mission was a nice feather in his cap.
I think the job of President though is beyond difficult, you are forced to make decisions based on information provided by your closest advisors, good advisors means good advice and thus popular decisions where bad advisors means bad advice and thus unpopular decisions.

I think he's done a fine job. He's certainly better than a lot of others we've had. Most of the hate and vitriol is just motivated by partisanship, and in some cases, racism. There are things I think could been done better, or different, but that's typical of not just any politician or any leader, but any other person.

But for the most part, he inherited a pretty crummy hand and I think he's managed to do play well with what he's given, despite the attempts at sabotage.

On the subject of "unemployment and the job market"... shut the hell up. It was NEVER as bad as the media would have you believe.

I got laid off at the height of the recession, I took a job making less and never filed for unemployment. I worked there for six months or so and the seeds I planted (posing resume's on multiple sites) CONTINUE to bear fruit... I'm in talks about a job now. And it's been that way for almost 5 YEARS now. Every few weeks someone asks if I'm interested in a new opportunity. I've never met my boss face to face, never been into the office... they interviewed me over the phone and mailed me a computer, in short I could be working ANYWHERE.

"But Dave you got mad computer skillz, I don't have those."
Then go get you some. I never took a class, never got a degree. I learned it all the hard way, trying things until something worked, and then remembering what I did... I worked a ton of crap jobs for people I didn't like to get those skills.

I know people who say "I make more drawing unemployment than I can at any of the job offers I get." Yeah, I'll blame the President for that... there's a hook in that worm, unemployment isn't helping them.

If you're active duty, you owe your job to the POTIS for continuing the war... quit bitching.

If you're disabled... hey you're typing and reading right? Get your ass to work.

If you can't find a job... move to a different city, get some skills, do something... I know a lady that makes better than the national average CLEANING HOUSES... if you made it through basic training you can damn sure clean.

I'm not a birther. I will admit that I did not know that only one of your parent had to be a citizen to be a naturalized citizen. I thought that you had to be born here or on a territory or Ia military installation. I knew that Kerry had sent lawyers to inquire if John Mc'Cain met those requirements. The birther movement was just to raise money by some fringe group. But Ted Cruz brought it up in an interview. Why he was eligible to run for president. But no one said this about Obama when people asked for his birth certificate.
I don't know if this is relevant to your question. But they use this to bash Rebublicans. I never heard the GOP leadership ask for it. Maybe some no name Congressman. Last I'm a partisan, I do not hate Obama. And even when Congress fast track his trade bill. He thanks them and with the other side of his mouth, in his next breath he belittled them. The tea party is not radicle. They don't shut down businesses, use the "n", word. But listening to Obama you would think they are the biggest group of racist. Do you remember the protest during the Bush adminisration. They had banners of President Bush as Hitler and as a Monkey. when I see or hear Obama his being black does not come to my mind. He's just another American. It's people in his party that keep bringing up his color.

Before that social media wasn't as big or possibly even around like it is now. It is a lot easier to pull up facts and pull up stories to see what is going on in this world. Becoming a president of our beautiful country is an honor that only leader of leaders can achieve. I might disagree with our CIC in my political opinions but as a sane, intelligent, and a leader myself, I give credit when it is due. Results speak louder than words. My 401K is much better than it was a decade ago, I see fewer houses getting foreclosed (I remember 2006-2007 when entire manufacturing belt was in bad shape), I see consumer confidence up. As a hiring manager and owner, I find difficulties getting enough resumes. We have had instances where before we could give offer to someone, that person already had offers. So in my humble opinion and real experience, I can say that job market is definitely better. Automobile Industry is doing better. I remember when we were looking shaky and countries like China were flexing their economic muscle... Today the landscape is much different, US is back to being the most stable and growing economy... China, Russia not so much. Yes, our CIC could use a better foresight when troops were withdrawn from Iraq. Affordable Care Act could have been better to stop the spiraling Medical costs, ER visits by uninsured, yes there are glitches but I think a start is better than no start. We are only super power in the world where some families could never afford seeing a physician and that I think is a shame to us. We are the beacon of what is right and that in my opinion was not so. So while blame our CIC, we need to take some time to research and explore before taking information from non reliable sources.

Is all a matter of political vision and the difference of opinions each individual has based in some of the good and bad decisions he has made over his presidential tenure.

For me in an unbiased way of looking at it, it is obvious that the level of satisfaction has been greater than the opposite, as he won his second term re-election, and that speaks highly of this fact.

I think every President deals with disrespect, treachery, betrayal and sabotage. Do some have to deal with more than others? I'm sure they do but to say one has had it more than others I think is an error in statement. For example, if you look back in history, President Lincoln, one of the few Presidents in our history that more approve of now than disapprove had to face a lot of treachery, betrayal and sabotage. He also did a lot of things or at least had knowledge of things that were less than Presidential to get things done. When he was working on getting the 13th Amendment passed, he did everything within his power to see it pass. Bribing politicians was common play back there. Some looked at Lincoln as an American version of Caesar ruling by fear. Yet, in the end, the bill was passed and the Bill of Rights forever changed.

Do I agree with everyone Obama did? No I do not. Nor do I agree with everything Bush did. Politics is much like war, you may not always have to agree with it but it is sometimes to only means to an end.

In 2008 I voted really not for him but AGAINST senile old McCain and his choice for VP, the little loony, Pseudo-pentecost lady from Alaska... err... what's her name? SPC Griffin, my opinion is based on a pretty strict interpretation of the Constitution. Two points lead me to be dissatisfied with President Obama's performance.

First, President Obama's actions show that he wants to expand the role and scope of the federal government. This is contrary to the letter and spirit of the Constitution, specifically the 10th Amendment.

He has also made numerous remarks and actions that seek to circumvent the Constitutional limits on Executive power. This ties back to his Constitutional duty to "take care that the laws be faithfully executed" - I believe that this duty is the same as that of a soldier executing an order: executing the orders (laws) he disagrees with as energetically those he does agree with.

Some specific examples of actions that lead me to my opinion:
- Demurring on fulfilling the requirements of the War Powers Resolution with respect to military action in Libya
- Making recess appointments to the NLRB and Consumer Financial Protection Bureau when the Senate was not in recess
- Waiving statutory deadlines and terms of the Affordable Care Act without the authorization of Congress
- Unilaterally suspending execution of standing immigration law for entire classes of people
- Excusing himself for not complying with the law requiring him to notify Congress of his release of Guantanamo prisoners when exchanging the for PFC Bergdahl.

I accept that fact that many presidents (Republican, Democrat and Whig) before Obama also worked hard to expand the power of the federal government and the office of the President, but why should any of us accept that two wrongs make a right?

Consider this! How do you destabilize an economy? First, target solvent companies. Cause the economic infrastructure to collapse. Second, flood the systems with "Wards of the State" or better know as Welfare dependents. This has been accomplished. In addition, add to the populace additional welfare dependents such as illegally granting rights and benefits to ILLEGAL ALIENS. Granting illegal aliens the right to vote. Then add in the right to vote for convicted fellons. That is how you successfully collapse a once stable system. Then "Change" it, the system to align with socialist values and principles. Hell, it is clear that the pendulum is swinging towards total anarchy. Burney Sanders, Democratic Presidential Candidate and US Senator is a professed Socialist.

For me its his foreign policy - Assad and Syria is just one example as these events are contained to his presidency. Obama is a victim of his own rhetoric when he drew a “red line”, vowing that any use of weapons of mass destruction by Bashar al-Assad would be unacceptable. What did we do when the line was crossed? A subversive regime change that is more or less on its last breath now that Russia has gotten involved. While not a WMD Assad is still using chlorine barrel bombs. He further complicated his options by stretching the interpretation of the executive’s war powers and brushing aside Congress in the campaign to topple Muammar el-Qaddafi in Libya in 2011. It's long been established that Obama failed to secure a congressional declaration of war and that he violated the War Powers Resolution. You have to remeber that Obama was a constitutional law professor at the University of Chicago Law School - and was quoted saying "I was a constitutional law professor, which means unlike the current president I actually respect the Constitution." The result his decision is another destabilized Middle East country being consumed by extremist ideology. Islamist activity has been steadily growing there in the wake of Muammar Gaddafi’s exit. So what are Obama's options in Syria - ask congress to go to war after he skirted around them in 2011 and start another war. Get coalition support to start WWIII and attack Russian forces and go after Assad. He seems to really be struggling with his foreign policy. I think for the most part is that is because he really doesn't have one or never developed one forcing him to be reactive vs. proactive. You have to remember Obama was elected to a large degree on his promise to extricate the United States from Iraq and Afghanistan. It is a sad irony of his presidency that among his foremost foreign-policy legacies he will exit some 8 years latter leaving the office with military involvement in both countries. This will be the first and most complex challenge for the next president. Hillary and Biden are just as complicate in his foreign policy failures.

One could only hope your analysis is true but the thing I wish for is for him to be more Christian friendly and I believe more caucasian friendly. The violence by police should warrant incarceration while good cops should be acknowledged. This would discourage such strong sentiments.

The Rebel Flag is going postal and the Governer of South Carolina has only pushed the issue to where white people (who are not KKK) are getting seriously pissed off. In Graham, NC, even there where a statue was being threatened by political activists. Fortunately this did not happen and local blacks said the statue is fine. Outsiders sticking their noses where they did not belong.

The dialogue of the future should not be political but tangible. Major issues (Jade Helm 15) should have been quelled and the situation in St. Louis. Too much violence at is and no sector is not without
culpability. That said, cops should feel safe and so does a potential suspect. Let's feed Africans who are starving making the efforts collaborative rather than political.

This is the source of all these problems and openess a talking point.

If we look compare how each president has been treated during their time in office, we would find all were disliked by a lot of people. Reagan is looked at by both parties as a great president, yet someone tried to kill him. After 9/11 all the rules changed. We as a nation will figure this out through our electoral process; it may take a couple election cycles. The Dem congress and Bush tried to save the economy. As one who has lived through nine Presidents I have never seen such an attack on American culture, its economy, its military (purging the war fighter generals). Obamma's alliance with the Muslim Brotherhood and Islamists around the world. The ability to overwhelm our system of government, Law enforcement, and allow the murder of blacks in the inner cities is appalling. Then to elevate homosexual sub culture to some sort of mainstream honorable level is another attack on American culture. Creating the highest financial deficits in world history that will leave our grandchildren with little hope of recovery. Creating the highest level of government dependency via closing industry such as coal mining, Keystone Pipeline, through allowing a non-elected government agency to write laws (The EPA). Increases in taxes via Obamma care. Forcing people to have to apply for food stamps, unemployment and other government aid like Medicade and Social Security disability because there are no jobs. Under his watch Food Stamp program recipients doubled. The sequester that is forcing government agencies such as the Department of Defense to cut their budgets while the Obamma's go on million dollar vacations to Europe. Committing outright fraud with Obamma care (you can keep your doctor, premiums will be cheaper, better medical care) then manipulating the Supreme Court to admit Obamma Care is a tax in order to get it to pass into law. Appointing openly gay jurists to the Supreme Court in order to get gay marriage allowed as law of the land. And you ask why people are angry about our President? And I wonder why people are so naïve when they vote for such a person who despises America our culture, our military, our Constitution, family, and leaving the country with No Hope.

Primarily because his policies have failed and done so catastrophically. His foreign policy has alienated our allies, emboldened our enemies and formented chaos in the Middle East. The fact that he seems to trust the Ayatollah of Iran with nuclear technology more than me with a handgun really adds to this... This is especially upsetting to me given that he pretty much threw away a victory in Iraq and pulled out on the basis of political considerations and those alone. I can't speak for any other OIF vet but that's my feeling on the matter.

Domestically, he's given us a stimulus policy that, by his own numbers, failed so poorly that we'd be better off today had it never been passed, not only in terms of GDP and job growth but also in terms of not having another $750 billion plus interest on the national debt. Obamacare is such a boondoggle that it's namesake has pushed back its implementation time and time again, now past his Presidency.

Lastly, I think he's been absolutely horrible in his divisiveness to the culture of this nation. The most notable examples are such cases as Michael Brown where he imposed himself into a situation he knew nothing about, made assumptions that were proven wrong and then acted like nothing happened as riots broke out. Ultimately, he has been a disaster for this nation and those negative effects will be felt for decades.

The only person who has any reason to be happy with the course of his Administration is Jimmy Carter who can now go to his final reward in the real belief that he wasn't the worst President of his own lifetime.

There are Pro's and Con's to every President, know one is really ever content with a President and the views or acts of that President. While we all have personnel opinions, I seriously doubt that anyone here would not still do their job if called upon under President Obama or any president for that matter. I think it boils down to what us a people hold dearest to our hearts and how those views fall in line with or not with the current administration. The common Con that distinguishes between party lines is always the military. History has proven that when the Democratic party controls the office the military get's smaller, less incentives, etc vs. when the Republican party is in control it's the opposite. It's a good question but I don't think it's good for this type of site because like I said we can have personnel views but in the end he's our Commander in Chief and if he asks we act, so it really doesn't matter what we think we gave up those rights so others could make those choices, we are here to preserve that choice for others. However if your retired or separated you can say what you like you have regained that freedom to do so.

While I disagreed with much of the Presidents positions when he came into office, I did have fairly high hopes that he would be about hope and change, but he has done nothing to fulfill those promises. While it is no surprise that a politician was not honest, I am disappointed that so many seem to ignore it with this administration.

My biggest disappointment was where he and his team knowingly lied to the American people about Benghazi. I was concerned about not sending support, telling the people there to stand down, and not seeming to have cared about the lack of security before hand, but I was willing to listen to the reasoning...there were no answers as of yet...BUT then they came out and lied. Repeatably lied and they knew the truth from the very beginning.

Some other things that have been troubling, Fast and Furious, the IRS scandal, the collapse of any Middle East policy, the rise of ISIS, and all of this being capped off with the Iran deal. I think he was under qualified when he took office, but he has either allowed incompetent or dishonest people around him make him look incompetent or dishonest, or he is incompetent or dishonest?

The place he was most suited to make real improvements, are some of the place I see him having the most negative effects? There is more division in our Nation now than there was when he took office? America and the World are less safe because of his actions and (lack of) policies.

I also believe that there are some very valid reasons to disapprove of the Presidents performance. I've been aware of politics long enough to remember 5 presidents now, including this one. It seems to me that disagreement with the current administration's policies is labeled as "disrespect" in a way it never was before. In the past it was seen for what it obviously is, political opposition. Just like the way the republican majorities in congress are labeled as "obstructionist" because they won't simply obey the executive branch. They are in the opposition, so of course they want to obstruct. That's the whole point. As far as people being "dissatisfied" with the president's performance, I'm not really sure what that means, because conservatives will naturally be dissatisfied with liberal policies, and vice-versa.

He has shredded the Constitution in terms of his executive orders. He bypasses congress by implementing new regulation through govt. like the EPA. He has divided the nation racially more than any other President. He has fired top military commanders that disagree with him so that is why we now have people altering intelligence to make policy on ISIS look like it is working. He is destroying American jobs, the middle class and the coal industry for some fable called global warming, oh they changed the name because it came out that the data was false so now they call it climate change. His administration has given billions to alternative energy companies just to see them fail. He has opened his mouth about issues before all the evidence is in and has looked foolish because he was wrong. His TPP trade agreement is going destroy more jobs in America and threaten our sovereignty as a nation. He signed a nuclear treaty with Iran giving them billions of dollars to continue to support terror around the world, and lifting sanctions and did not get anything tangible back but a promise, in my opinion. Any deal with Iran that does not include getting our citizens back from captivity is a horrible deal and a wasted opportunity.
President Obama is the most unpresidential President in history and I thought there would never be anyone worse the Jimmy Carter, I was wrong.
Obama care is a disaster, during the supreme court hearing they change the penalty fee for not having insurance to a tax in order to get a decision in their favor, up to that point it was always meant to be a penalty fee. So now premiums are continuing to go up, so what he has done is forced Americans who work and pay taxes buy this insurance and pay higher and higher premiums to offset the premiums the poorer Americans pay so the insurance companies do not loose any money but the poor still receive the same level of care as the ones paying higher premiums.
All of his so called accomplishments are in reality disasters.
