A soldier, a sailor, and an airman are all riding in a cab together, when it suddenly runs off the road into a ditch. All three are killed. They appear at the gate to heaven and are met by St. Peter. He tells them to come through the gate, and to climb the stairs to heaven. God will meet them at the top. All three want assurances before they climb the stairs that there are no Marines in heaven, all having been beaten up by one at some point in their lives. St. Peter assures them there are no Marines in heaven. They pass through the gate and start climbing the stairs. When they pass the halfway point on the staircase, a man dressed in full Marine Corps battle gear appears, and thrusts a rifle with a bayonet attached in their direction.......while letting out a blood curdling battle cry. The three of them turn tail and run back down the stairs to St. Peter. "You told us there were no Marines in heaven," they said in unison. "So who is that?" "That," replies St. Peter, "is just God playing around. He always wished he could be a Marine."

And this is "no shit"........that is just the way it happened.

Because there are too many crayons that need eating. I’m told the red ones taste the best buy my marine France. There are also many windows that need to be licked. The army can’t like them all so they created the Marines.

Again let me say I hate the fact that rally point does not have an auto correct function for its mobile application. A RallyPoint how about an auto correct function or a ability to edit posts from a mobile app. That would really do a great thing for those of us who are unfortunately deployed.

You know, I thought about enlisting with the Corps when I originally enlisted, but the recruiters told me my ASVAB score was just too high. Something about being too hard to brainwash people who know Crayons aren't food.

In a tongue and cheek way, I learned about the Marine Corps in officer candidate School. While I was at Fort Lewis during phase 1 of Officer candidate School, our OCS class was in movement to contact inside Fort Lewis in a very wooded area in a traveling OverWatch formation and suddenly, an M60 machine gun position opened on us. Everybody flanked and maneuvered except for one officer candidate. After the fire fight, the instructor ass this officer candidate why did you not flanking maneuver? Why did you come straight at us? His answer, because I am a marine, sir! Laughing out loud, it's for this reason the Marine Corps recruits very young soldiers that teaches them to be almost fanatical suicidal to get the mission accomplished. I don't know if that's Superior thinking but it definitely will result in a higher casualty rate.

A marine observes a special forces HALO free fall demonstration at Ft Bragg, and decides he wants to do that. He asks the SF SGT if he can make a jump. The SGT says no, it takes a lot of training to do that. The Marine says no problem, I can figure it out by myself. So the SF SGT says OK, go report to that SGT and tell him to put you on the next bird.

The Marine finds himself chuted up and looking out the ramp as the green light goes on. Fearlessly he runs off the ramp, confident that being a Marine is all he needs to know to accomplish this task. Very shortly thereafter, however, he realizes he has no idea how to open the chute. He wishes there was someone he could ask. As he hurtles towards the ground, he is shocked to see another Marine hurtling up towards him from the ground. He rejoices as he plans to ask this Marine how to open the chute.

As the Marines approach each other, one speeding towards earth and the other away from it, the Marine skydiver asks:

"Hey buddy, do you know how to open this chute?

The other Marine replies:

"No, SGT. Do you know how to light a butane stove?
