Why am I seeing so many old RP posts in My Feed?

I am trying to figure out why I am seeing RP posts that are three years to three months old? It's especially annoying since there are ones I have answered already and it is hard to differentiate those from the many questions that are repeat questions/similar. At the top of the Answers feed, which one is underlined, "Date Published" or "Recent Activity"? The default is "Recent Activity". If you click on "Date Published", it will sort them from newest to oldest.

Just like MAD Magazine except it usually is not 'trash'. Sometimes I want to answer the post I realized I posted it 2 years ago.
