Who would do a better job at reducing the debt: Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump?

No politician runs for office promising to be fiscally irresponsible, but the federal government now finds itself trillions of dollars in debt. Americans would prefer the federal government have less debt, but the problem doesn't seem to affect their day-to-day lives and thus gets lost in the constant churn of the political news cycle. Who would do a better job at reducing the debt: HC or DT?

Definitely Donald Trump. In fact, I think there are a few research based articles regarding what their plans would do to the economy.

Hillary. The Only Skill Sets that I have seen out of Donald Trump is Bankruptcy for Profit and Self Promotion.

Most people don't think about the debt because 19,000,000,000,000 is so big it seems unreal or they have given in to the fact our budget barely covers the interest and will never go away.

Fiscally speaking I thing Trump has a better head about it but I don't think either of them care because it isn't their money.

Reducing the debt? Neither. The debt will continue to grow under both, it's just a matter of how fast.

Hillary has been saying the same things for the last three decades. Trump has at least ran a buisness. Made use of our laws. So he knows what works. Hillary is worried that some rich person might bennifit.

I'm beginning to wonder if anyone is really concerned about the debt. For many it is simply too large a number to comprehend and thus unreal. For some it is the price of building Utopia and they're happy to support even more debt. I'm afraid that leaves only a few who really grasp the significance of the debt. It's impact not only on the viability of entitlements, but the very govt itself and its ability to mount a defense. Yes, we have the finest people and equipment of any military in the world, but we could not support sustained operations in even one theater.

Trump would do better with the economy; HRC would just continue Obama's policies which have not worked despite his administration's injection of Trillions of dollars of cash pulled out of thin air. One must ask oneself what that does to the value of the dollar when the supply is quadrupled.

Based on their records and HRC's public statements as Senator, I think Donald Trump would do a much better job of negotiating with our trade partners and nations we support to get them to bear their share of the costs SP5 Mark Kuzinski. I expect he would fulfill his plan to ensure US corporations which have moved or plan to move manufacturing, fabrication or workforce overseas lose their tax and other financial advantages in this nation.
He is a businessman and I expect he would look at our relationship with other nations from a long-term business perspective.

Trump, hands down. I have zero doubt that he can implement programs to reduce our National debt.
