Who will win the World Cup Argentina or France?

I am a huge soccer fan!

Of course, my favorite team is Brazil! I am looking forward to the World Cup coming to the USA in 2026. I played soccer for my command teams when in AD and have coached youth soccer (coaching both my children and my grandson, so the game is in my blood just as it was in my father's blood.

Like chess it is a game national pride where a nation like Bobby Fischer did in 1972 beating the Russian Boris Spassky and like the USA Women's Soccer team have done winning FOUR World Cup titles. It is how a nation felt in 1980 when the lowly Americans beat the Soviet in a sheet of ice in Lake Placid then later secured its place in history taking home an Olympic Gold Medal in Ice hockey.

As I think about 4th Place Morocco and how much they represented the Muslim world with the quality of their play and what it might mean for them to host the World Cup in 2034 after the USA in 2026 and Uruguay in 2030 for the 100th Birthday of WC. Perhaps, by 2034 the world will have learned to resolve its issues on the pitch vs pitching deadly shells onto innocents for the glory of the power hungry. Who knows?

So, who will win the World Cup in a few hours?

*chuckle* ... you forgot a third option CPO Nate S.. Something along the lines of "Are they still playing?" or "Don't follow, don't care." or something like that.

Personally, I'm a very nationalistic when it comes to soccer. Once the US was eliminated, I stopped paying attention.

But that's me - you do you! Soccer is great for some, but just not for me.
