Problem was the most senior union guys took most of those. Mandatory was never an issue. I got more compliments from Mall workers and customers than anything else I did. Of course when you do that the shopping mall will fine your business because in the commercial lease agreement it specifies that you have to be open when the mall is open but big deal I paid the fine. I closed for Christmas Eve as well as Christmas Day as well. Although I think it is a shame that employees have to give up some prime family time to support the commercialization of Christmas. We do not exchange gifts until the last weekend in January or first weekend in February. Christmas Day in ouy home is about our faith, family, friends, and food.

The stores are ghost lands and prices are low after January 15th.
