Who remembers singing in the rain, sleet or snow?

I can not remember how times I was double timing within a formation or leading a formation where we were singing jodi's and it rained, sleeted or snowed. It seemed that frequently the precipitation was blowing in your face. It seems like it was over a hundred times.
I sometimes sing in the shower;but, I have never been asked to sing in a choir let alone sing a solo :-)
Did you every double time in formation in the rain, sleet or snow and have to sing while you were getting wet or frozen?

Yes I rain in the rain, sleet and snow in the winter at Fort Leonard Wood and in Bamberg Germany. During summer training at West Point we had one upper classman who liked to lead us in 1950's rock and roll choruses and sometime Bo Diddley songs. At Fort Benning it was just singing in the rain as we led the Infantry OSUT trainees in formation runs since it never really go cold enough to sleet or snow for long.

Hell yeah, we ran around the track with snow on it, while we had flurries. Hell yes!

I shipped out for boot camp on December 17th to Chicago. We had plenty of Snow. A few days where instead of uniform of the day they basically said if you have it, wear it. If you can't wear it, set it on fire and stick it in your pockets.

That's how it would start.
We would then sing,
"Hell yes! We're motivated! We represent 200 years of romping, stomping, ass kicking, name taking, death and destruction. We're lean, we're mean, we're dressed in army green. We're the baddest mother f**kers you ever did seen! HOO-AAH!"

No sleet or snow at Parris Island but lots of rain and sand flies..& we sang the Marine Hymn in the pouring rain as we doubled time. It was easier than crawling in the mud in the rain .

Boot camp, rifle range. Muddy is an under statement. Then the next day hot as hades, the foot prints from the mud run the day before were now rock hard. Twisted my ankle stepping in one of those foot prints wrong.

Took an AFPT in freezing rain and the track was so slick from the ice we were told to run in the outside lanes to avoid the ice build-up. My glasses kept freezing over and I could not see, so I took them off and focused on the Soldier running ahead of me!

I thought it was on the training schedule "forced march, at a double time, raining" also there was "FTX, super cold and wet"

I can remember singing in the rain, snow and a mix of both.

I can remember taking a PT Test at Camp Ripley in Jan, with temps in the negative numbers...that was probably something someone should have rethought.

I had a battle buddy on deployment recently. We bonded well at night swooping such story's him a Marine and myself Infantry in the early 80's. Definitely a different time..

Haha the 4 months I was at Knox for 19D boot camp it rained twice, but rest assured that we sang in the rain. And it was pouring rain. haha
