The scene where the tornado rips through a drive-in was definitely scarier being at one myself. There is still a drive-in near MCAS Beaufort that has double features, went and saw Deadpool and The Revenant last week there. The one near where I grew up closed a few years ago because we just can't have enough strip malls.
My mom used to make enough popcorn to fill a trash bag, and we'd munch that until we couldn't eat any more.
We used to pay by the carload, so my 1977 Oldsmobile Toronado was a popular choice. I could get five on each bench seat, and another four in the trunk... and still have room for a grill and a stack of lawn chairs. 1SG Private RallyPoint Member Thu, 03 Mar 2016 09:31:33 -0500 2016-03-03T09:31:33-05:00 Response by SGT Ben Keen made Mar 3 at 2016 9:57 AM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/who-remembers-drive-in-theaters-what-do-you-remember-seeing-there?n=1350136&urlhash=1350136

Remember them?
