But, I wont get there, let's keep it in the chords world.<br />I started listening to Dream Theater like 10 years ago and John Petrucci sounded just amazing, considered one of the best and fastest in the world. Keith Richard, just the fact that he has been playing for more than 50 years now just makes him one of the best. Jimi Hendrix, do I have to say something about him? And José Feliciano, well, I'll admit that I'm biased with him just because of the fact that he is Puerto Rican but still, he is great. He won the Grammy for Best New Artist the same year that Hendrix came out (1968). So many great guitarists from so many genres....<br /><br />For me, I Grew up as a huge fan of 80s hair bands (motley crue, poison, etc), but as I aged, I began to listen to more and more classic rock (Hendrix, Clapton) and I think that my favorite guitarist is an incredible merger of these two distinct eras. Slash has demonstrated his ability to shred with great rock gods like GnR and Zakk Wylde, and has also shown that he can channel Hendrix and SRV on demand. On stage, he is the quiet guy that does not get in your face talking about how great he is, he just plays his little song while other people dominate the microphone! <br /><br />While there are hundreds of incredible guitarists out there, I have to say that Slash has easily won my vote as my favorite!Response by CW2 Private RallyPoint Member made Dec 24 at 2015 1:38 PM2015-12-24T13:38:02-05:002015-12-24T13:38:02-05:00SFC Private RallyPoint Member1197457<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Eddie Van Halen, Steve Stevens, Steve Vai, George HarrisonResponse by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Dec 26 at 2015 5:03 AM2015-12-26T05:03:49-05:002015-12-26T05:03:49-05:00Capt Private RallyPoint Member1204078<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Brad PaisleyResponse by Capt Private RallyPoint Member made Dec 29 at 2015 8:20 PM2015-12-29T20:20:46-05:002015-12-29T20:20:46-05:00SFC Private RallyPoint Member1218180<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Eddie Van Halen<br />Dimebag Darrel<br />Randy Rhoads<br />There are obviously more than this!!!Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Jan 6 at 2016 11:26 AM2016-01-06T11:26:57-05:002016-01-06T11:26:57-05:00Sgt Brian Benway1218764<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Slash, duh!Response by Sgt Brian Benway made Jan 6 at 2016 4:09 PM2016-01-06T16:09:00-05:002016-01-06T16:09:00-05:00Sgt Anthony Piazza1250031<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>My influences are Steve Vai, Jeff Loomis, Ola Englund, Tosin Abasi, and a YouTube guitarist by the name of Matthew McGhee, so there's that.Response by Sgt Anthony Piazza made Jan 21 at 2016 12:19 PM2016-01-21T12:19:07-05:002016-01-21T12:19:07-05:00SSG Drew Cook1334014<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>John Schofield, Pat Metheny.
