Chamberlain- Best known for his actions that won him the MoH at Gettysburg on Little Round Top and his bayonet charge on the CSU. (I mean badass right?!) He was nicknamed "Bloody Chamberlain". After nearly dying in the Battle of Petersburg, he was given the option to resign from the Union Army, but he refused until the end of the war. What I love most about Chamberlain was that when Gen. Lee surrendered the Army of Northern Virginia at the Appomattox Court House; had is men come to attention and render respect to the confederate soldiers as they marched by.

South: "Stonewall" Jackson- He was the "soul" of the south. He also knew Lee like none of the other Gens did. Gen. Lee had a problem that when he would give orders he wouldn’t fully communicate them. He would verbalize the end result. Gen Jackson was the tactical and strategic genius who knew exactly what Lee wanted and how to complete the tasks. When he died- a result of friendly fire. Lee couldn't find anyone who could complete his orders like Jackson could. And the South had lost its "Good Ol' Boy" he was a deeply religious man (he hated fighting on Sundays), hardworking, and loving man. But, Lord, was he feared on the battlefield.
