Who is your all time favorite Sergeant Major of the Army?

My all time favorite Sergeant Major of the Army since I have been in from SMA Gates- SMA Chandler is SMA Raymond Chandler because of all the changes in the NCO Corps, i.e.; SSD, new NCOER, uniform changes, draw-down of forces and most of all discipline at a time where uncertainly is prevalent. That's my take. I have personally met him three times and I strive to maintain the professionalism he displays day on and out. There are a lot of good SMA out there RP what's your take?

SMA Tilley, was a Soldier's Soldier, very down to earth, listened to what you as a young Soldier/NCO had to say and acted upon it. Had the pleasure to meet him as well as the current SMA, they have a very difficult job to perform and most all have executed their responsibilities well.

I am very impressed with the current SMA. I like his focus on fitness, and I like the fact that he hits the ground to spend time talking to and listening to the troops.

I would like to see him visit reserve units (along with CSM Lambert) and talk to soldiers about issues that are specific to the reserves
