I know during my time, it was part of the briefing the 1SG would have with the incoming CQ NCO. However, I don't think this removes the service member's supervisor from having to take responsibility to check in on his/her Soldier while they serve out their extra duty. The NCO Support Channel of that Soldier should take a very active role in ensuring that the Soldier is taken care of while serving out this duty. To just pass the buck off to the CQ shows the Soldier a lack of support from his/her NCOs and could result in repeating behavior.
