Who do I contact at the VA about a caregiver compensation verdict on a case that was denied and then reopened? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/who-in-va-do-i-contact-about-caregiver-compensation-verdict-on-reopened-case-that-was-denied-9-years-ago-and-reopened1-year-ago <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>My husband was a100% permanently disabled Navy veteran who died from his Service related illness in 2016. In 2014 his doctor advised me to apply for caregiver compensation as I was not working at the time (I was in the middle of getting my own disablement through Social Security which was granted in 2014. ) as I was his sole caregiver. My application was declined. Then in 2022 I received a letter saying that the laws had changed and the case was reopened. I was to fill out the forms they had sent to me and include supporting paperwork with Doctor&#39;s names and dates and medical visits ....which I did and immediately returned to them. I&#39;ve not heard a peep since. How do I go about finding out whether my resubmission was accepted ..declined ..or moot? ( I live in North Carolina by Fort Bragg.)
