Some of them stem from being overworked and under slept, but this is the most frustrating symptom of PTSD that I am dealing with now. I forget conversations and whole evenings out, or can's associate concurrent events with each other, e.g. I remember the dinner, but not the movie, even though they happened an hour apart. Perversely, I can remember great details about events in the distant past.

Coping is mostly with my phone reminders; "pick up the kids from the bus stop" as a calendar alert AND a phone alarm, birthdays a week out and then three days out. My wife helps a lot, esp. with scheduling.

I run my own business serving customers, so you can see how this is a major issue.Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Aug 20 at 2015 8:45 PM2015-08-20T20:45:20-04:002015-08-20T20:45:20-04:00SGM Steve Wettstein906920

PO2 Corey Ferretti I too have memory problems. When I was at Bragg, the TBI Clinic got me a PSP with a memory "game". When I first used it my memory was at something like a 72 year olds memory. The more I use it the better my memory.Response by SGM Steve Wettstein made Aug 20 at 2015 11:51 PM2015-08-20T23:51:14-04:002015-08-20T23:51:14-04:002015-08-18T17:39:03-04:00
