Few who served in combat theaters trust the Red Cross (at least that&#39;s my experience - yours may be different). My wife and I just donated to the Cajun Navy (it&#39;s not tax deductible but we don&#39;t care - we&#39;re more concerned that the money will be spent on behalf of those in need - out of respect for those visited by Hurricane Helene, I won&#39;t use the word victims - they aren&#39;t acting like victims).
