As a Master Driver, BN, CO, or Platoon, they are required to be certified on all equipment that is in that BN, CO, Platoon. COC dropped the ball on this one.Response by SSG Eric Trace made May 25 at 2018 7:00 PM2018-05-25T19:00:57-04:002018-05-25T19:00:57-04:00SGT David T.3668901<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Funny story about this. I was subjected to a FLIPL for damage to a truck. The officer said I was liable and the BC initially agreed. I put in my rebuttal statement and eventually it was dropped. In the meantime, my military license expired. The Commander refused to renew it and thought it would be appropriate if I became the master driver since I pointed out every last failure in training in my rebuttal. So for several months I was responsible for training and licensing Soldiers on equipment I wasn't licensed on myself. What I did was find people who were licensed and had them perform the road test portion. Unless the reg has changed, you should be able to do it that way.Response by SGT David T. made May 29 at 2018 12:31 PM2018-05-29T12:31:01-04:002018-05-29T12:31:01-04:00SSG JimSchan Thomas3694865<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>The master driver can find another NCO who is trained on that equipment to train said soldier when the paperwork is filled out be sure to indicate that the road test (if necessary) was done by that NCO. All of this information must be in the soldiers record which must be kept in the master driver's office/classroom.Response by SSG JimSchan Thomas made Jun 8 at 2018 12:22 PM2018-06-08T12:22:27-04:002018-06-08T12:22:27-04:00SGT Private RallyPoint Member7507948<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Im having this issue right now.
