Even though I'm not yet in 'full' retirement, my time is becoming ever more valuable to me with each passing year. If it HAS to be done, so be it, if it can wait, it most likely will.
On the same topic, I have quit doing things like changing my own oil. I can go to the dealership and be in and out in 15-20 minutes for around $20.00 (with a coupon). Much quicker and, honestly, not that much more expensive (probably LESS expensive if you put a price on your time).Response by MSG Wade Huffman made Sep 6 at 2014 7:47 AM2014-09-06T07:47:24-04:002014-09-06T07:47:24-04:00SPC Private RallyPoint Member230168

What didn't get done today CAN be done tomorrow, but SHOULD it?

Mostly due to having outstanding leadership, I've learned to prioritize the tasks for my week on an individual day basis, usually planning from the week before, if not sooner. Should I push something from today until tomorrow, what task am I willing to sacrifice, and what effect will that have on the next day, and those after that?

With good time management, and enthusiastic but realistic goals, there's no reason anything should have to be pushed back to tomorrow. However, if all else fails and everything is jacked up, adapt and overcome, it's not the end of the world.Response by SPC Private RallyPoint Member made Sep 6 at 2014 11:15 AM2014-09-06T11:15:50-04:002014-09-06T11:15:50-04:00SGT Private RallyPoint Member230188

I don't think everything can be accomplished instantly or within a short amount of time.
