I liked to lead because I tried to teach the cherries and the soldiers I had all the technical and physical things they needed to know. I wanted my soldiers to be the best they could no matter what the job was. A motto I use was to be the best you had to learn from the best. I had great NCO's when I was a cherry and just coming in and I really respect him and I wanted to lead like him. He taught me allot and the best thing I remembered that he really had me on point with land navigation skills. I will forever be greatful to Sgt Hayes.

Since we are on football there is something that I would like to know. Why do Navy and Air Force usually have good teams while Army tends to suck?

SGT Neil Chandler, I was at Fort McClellan from 20AUG to 23 AUG this past month! I attended a reunion there and stayed in one of the rock cottages on post!
