Nuttall and his Empire`s Corps series. I've been impressed. Another is L.E. Modesitts Chaos series. He combines science fiction, fantasy and technology rather uniquely. My current favorites are John Ringo and Larry Correia they are both great fun for more military type, Patricia Briggs and Faith Hunter offer different aspects on vamps and were's. Heinlein. Time for the Stars was the first I read of his. I loved his style of writing. So I read another. Stranger in a Strange Land. I was forever hooked on one of the greatest Sci-Fi writers of all time. Still am. I'm on a quest to purchase all his books in hard cover 1st editions. <br /><br />On another note, has anyone read the Stainless Steel Rat series by Harry Harrison? I've read most of his more well known stuff. Michael Crichton is another obvious one. Andy Weir has The Martian, so we'll see what he comes up with next.
