That was preceded by the Senior NCO Leadership and Management School in 1988. Both events provided excellent skills' development and networking environments for the Coast Guard's top enlisted personnel. And they were a lot of fun, too. Being an instructor I had to be a graduate of every course I instructed. I still have friends from each I maintain contact with. I Am ever so thankful to the professional instruction I received at all of them... But especially the 101 Recondo school which specialized in small unit tactics and leadership.
