Which sport event would you want to be a member of the color guard?

My one and only claim to fame was in a small town parade as the color guard. Where would you want to be: Super Bowl, NBA Championship, World Series, Stanley Cup, NASCAR, Olympics, NCAA Football/Basketball/Baseball game, etc?

While I can't dispute 2LT M's observations (I believe he is correct), I think I'd choose NASCAR; specifically the Daytona 500. I would be a great way to kick off the racing season!

I have done many color guards. For Parades, Governor's inauguration, Monster Truck Shows, Military Balls, USO Galas, Posted the colors for ESGR events, and many civilian organizations. If I had to choose one that I would love to do again. It would be the one I did for the Carolina Crown MMA fight night.
It was at the RBC Center, set up for a cage match. We were back stage and the route we had to take brought us through the band area and onto the ramp all the fighters would come down. Of course all of this area was dark because the band was not playing right now. A voice came over the loud speaker and asked everybody to rise for the playing of the national anthem. We were in Dress Blues, and as soon as we hit the spot light and everybody could see the American Flag it went crazy loud. People were cheering for the flag, and it made me proud to carry it. I had never felt a roar so loud and it must be what a big shot professional feels when he steps onto the field. However, it was because I was carrying the nation’s colors and the cheering was for the flag. We marched down the ramp and into the octagon. It was now defining silent as a little girl came up behind us and sang the National Anthem.
It was a truly amazing experience, and I was proud to be a part of it.

Stanley Cup for sure. The NHL is the most underappreciated National Sport.
