Which President would you have liked to see get a Third Term in Office? Who would have done Most for the Country if given a Third Term? Ronald Reagan? Bill Clinton? Barack Obama? Who in your view would the Country have benefited the most from?

None. Not one. Nope. No way. No how. I'm sad that FDR had more than two. His tenure in office extended the Great Depression. He should have taken a hint from Calvin Coolidge who stopped an economic depression cold in its tracks by immediately laying off government workers and reducing the size of government. FDR did exactly the opposite with predictable results. The longer he remained in office, the longer We the People suffered

None. Our founders thought that two terms were enough. Any more would make you a King. the only person I know of who ran for a third term was FDR. And the first day in office Truman pushed for term limits.

Regardless of the 22nd Amendment, absolutely NO President should ever serve more than two terms. In fact, absolutely NO elected official should ever serve more than two terms.

So many people going against this as though you are proposing amending the Constitution and re-electing our current President when you are simply asking a hypothetical question. Kind of annoys me as I've seen this same thing in a topic I created on another website, everyone wants to ignore the actual question and just give their opinion on why it would or should never happen.

I'll give you a legitimate answer. Now I am not hugely knowledgeable on the history of our Presidents but just from what I know I think Theodore Roosevelt would have made a decent choice for a third term. I would also have liked to see Lincoln and Kennedy both avoid their assassinations and at least go through a second term as they both could have had much to offer had they had the chance. History is history though so unfortunately (or maybe fortunately) we'll never know.
