It was at the time a special weapons storage and maintenance unit and was located in a relatively remote area of Germany. It was part of the 59th Ordinance Brigade which was at the time, the largest Brigade in the Army at the time with units all over the world and headquartered in Permasans Germany. At the time I thought it was a miserable assignment, but age and experience makes one wiser. I learned a lot there, developed some very close friendships and grew personally and professionally and would gladly return to the unit again.
