Which of these photos do you find to be the most interesting / thought provoking?

These are three Military linked photos that I found on Facebook this week. What do you think of the subject matter, what appeals to you the most (or the least), and why?

PVT Robert Gresham I tend to focus on the positive, I love the message of the Flutist w/BS. We need strong professionals in the military, this picture happens to be a female professional soldier SSG with wartime service strips. She has a supportive Mom and Sister, it is just a great message.

Some of these stolen valor picture will drive you insane. I just want to go slap the tar out of that one. I am not infantry, but hell she is wearing infantry branch on her collar, but her sleeve says some thing else almost brown (dare I say an old Warrant Officer branch, although the color looks off).

As much as I like the Flutist picture the one I couldn't help but be drawn to was the stolen valor one. Those people just make me sick.

As I was outside with the kids tonight doing a little premature 4 July test firing of various exploding projectiles, I am reminded once again of what is important, and how I am changed from my service. The kids just feel the joy of sparks and pops and bangs; I feel the tension and anxiety that each pyrotechnic brings up from deep within.
I am reminded of how once the pops and bangs were the urgent report of incoming... the many near misses... the times they didn't miss and but for the grace of God, training, and a well-positioned bunker things may have turned out differently.
It is a bit easier every year, but it is still there, just beneath my façade and forced smile.

Well, who wouldn't want to be infantry. Lol. As for the Bronze Star, don't know any more than she has one. As for the last one, agreed but dialog between Vets and civilians can go a long way.

The third one. This is true and it is impossible for others to realize what we do if they never did it before. Before I went to Afghanistan my grandfather who fought in World War II told me that the war I was going to was a lot different than the war that he fought in. So even if someone was in a war does not mean that they will know what we saw, did, experienced, or how we changed.

We have to be careful because a picture now days can be deceiving thanks to Photoshop. I do not pay attention to none of these pictures. Some of the people that post them are also looking for attention just as the person with the uniform or stolen valor. If you drive a Honda and you replace the name on the vehicle to Mercedes, it will not change the fact that your vehicle is still a Honda.

Thanks to all who are adding to my education. I wouldn't key into the color discrepancies in the first, like the second, and feel for the third. Images can be powerful. That's why I don't the the special cause or political take offs on our iconic memorials. Got voted down on making that point on another post but we all take different paths and some opinions won't change quickly.
