It&#39;s dead in terms of E-5 promotions and there is even speculation that it will be phased out very soon. I eventually want to either work as a Title 32 military technician, go on ADOS orders, or become an AGR. I often see most full-time positions open for 31B&#39;s Military police and 92Y&#39;s Supply specialists than most of the other MOS&#39;s. Which MOS would be most beneficial to re-class into in terms of promotions and my goal of becoming full-time? Especially in certain units. I love talking to soldiers and interacting with everyone, so supply, in any unit was great for me. 31B can be in just about any role, again unit specific. If you like doing anything between infantry and security them 31B would be better. If you are making it a career, progression depends on you as I do not believe there is any difference in requirements to make senior NCO. Promotions are based on how much you invest into bettering yourself. I would choose supply, but I&#39;m biased. Good luck! I see a lot of admin NCO positions open for e4-e5 more so than supply NCO. With that being said, 42A also is probably the easiest transfer of MOS to civilian sector job you can find. From there you can snag a AGR slot for admin work it a few years then take a 6 slot for supply and reclass. It is world&#39;s easier to transfer within the AGR program then actually get into it. Go figure. I reclassified to 13T in my BN to get E5 and then waited another 3 years for a supply sgt position to open up. Honestly the easiest way into the AGR program is prob getting an ADOS position helping a recruiter and then jumping in to a recruiter position when it opens up then you can reclass after that if a 92Y or 31B position opens up but I&#39;ve seen more people enter AGR through recruiting Response by SSG Private RallyPoint Member made May 26 at 2018 8:48 PM 2018-05-26T20:48:31-04:00 2018-05-26T20:48:31-04:00 SSG Private RallyPoint Member 3671906 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>92Y will definitely be more beneficial if you&#39;re trying to get into the technician program or the AGR program. 15 series is also another good option for getting into the technician program. Especially 15T, 15U, 15E/W, and 15F/N. 15F/N might not be bad because it looks like you already have some sort of background in chasing wires and playing with electronic components. Idk where you are in TX, but I see technician slots at their Aviation Support Facilities open all the time. I think the Corpus Christi Army Depot was going to be doing some hiring too.
