Also allows for better deployments and TDYs in my opinion. Also, you don’t have to deal with that smell as much. However anytime you are on the flight line you will experience that. It also would allow for more civilian job opportunities in the future. There are many aspects of Air Transportation out there vs just refueling planes. Both would allow for job opportunities but air trans allows for more future options and higher paying jobs. Transferring to the air guard is an excellent idea, especially if you are concerned about family. If you go air trans, I recommend seeking as many training/certification options as they will allow you.
