Journalism students are taught to "sell" the news. Sensationalize everything. Make mountains out of molehills. Thus, I turn to the raw sources of news: AP, Reuters, et al. Broadcast news offices and newspapers have shut down bureau offices to cut costs and take their news feeds from these sources and stringers, then massage the facts to make the stories more marketable. Then there are the ideological influences. All schools of journalism are turning out Leftist propagandists. Fortunately, those who have fled the Left or never subscribed to it, are finding homes on the Internet and in social media. Thus, I have selected a few such sources to supplement my other inputs.
